Last weekend, Ljubljana was once again in the spotlight for mountain biking. From September 4th to 6th, the Ljubljana MTB Weekend 2026 took place, bringing together mountain bikers, competitors, visitors and numerous representatives of the Slovenian MTB scene at Bike Park Ljubljana and on the Golovec trails.

This year, we at Bora were part of the event together with the POC brand, which we brought closer to the community, to which a large part of its cycling equipment is intended, as a sponsor of the event.

Three days of mountain biking

The seventh edition of the Ljubljana MTB Weekend once again offered a very diverse program. Visitors could watch competitions in various MTB disciplines, attractive jumps, pumptrack, enduro and activities for younger cyclists, while an important part of the event was also dedicated to the presentation of cycling equipment and socializing.

This year's event attracted several hundred participants from six countries and a large number of visitors and fans, confirming once again that mountain biking in Slovenia has a strong and active community.

POC and mountain biking

POC is a brand with cyclist safety at its core. Its helmets, goggles, protectors and other protective gear are developed for cyclists who expect a combination of protection, functionality and thoughtful Scandinavian design from their equipment.

Events like Ljubljana MTB Weekend represent a great opportunity for the brand to connect directly with the cycling community and be present where mountain biking is actually lived.

For us at Bora, such collaborations are not only important from a brand recognition perspective. We want to use them to support the development of the sport, local events, and a community that connects competitors, recreational cyclists, clubs, organizers, and everyone who loves to spend their free time on a bike.

Together with the MTB community in the future

Ljubljana MTB Weekend has become an important meeting point for the Slovenian mountain biking scene in just a few years. The combination of competitions, shows, activities for young people, equipment presentations and, above all, relaxed socializing creates an event that we want to be present at ourselves.

We are pleased that we were able to support this year's event together with the POC brand and be part of another successful cycling weekend in Ljubljana.
