Luka Stražar is a mountaineer who is one of the most successful and recognized representatives of Slovenian mountaineering. Stražar is known for his exceptional ascents of the most difficult walls in the world, especially in the Himalayas and other high mountains. In 2012, together with Nejc Marčič, he received the Golden Ice Axe (Piolet d’Or), the most prestigious award in mountaineering, for the first ascent of the north face of K7 West in the Karakoram, which is considered one of the pinnacles of the modern mountaineering approach.
In addition, Stražar has participated in numerous other successful mountaineering expeditions and first ascents, where he demonstrated his dedication, endurance and technical perfection. With his work and achievements, he significantly contributes to the rich tradition of Slovenian mountaineering and serves as an inspiration to future generations of mountaineers.
Luka Stražar is also an ambassador for the Karpos brand, with which he shares the values of a responsible, passionate and dedicated attitude towards mountains and mountaineering.
