Karpos: mountaineering, climbing, hiking and ski touring
For many years, the Karpos brand has been developing technically advanced clothing for mountaineering, climbing and ski touring in close collaboration with top athletes. Their experience from demanding walls, winter ascents and high mountains directly influences the development of collections that are intended for everyone who is not satisfied with average in the mountains.
This connection between top-notch sports and everyday exercise in nature is also brought about by the Karpos evenings, which we organize every year in partner stores across Slovenia. The events combine mountain stories, expert insights, and relaxed socializing with brand ambassadors.
Karpos evening in the store Enduro: climbing and top mountaineering
Approximately 50 visitors gathered at the Enduro store for the Karpos evening to listen to exceptional stories from the world of top-level climbing and mountaineering.
Lecturers Luka Stražar and Jernej Kruder presented their experiences from the most demanding walls and revealed the background behind preparations for large projects. They spoke about psychological challenges, physical fitness, the importance of a team and reliable equipment in extreme conditions.
The evening took place in a relaxed atmosphere with many questions and active participation from visitors. The event showed that interest in mountaineering and climbing in Slovenia remains extremely strong, especially when we can hear the stories directly from the actors.
Karpos evening in the store Sports Point, Kranjska Gora: stories from the winter walls
In Kranjska Gora, the Karpos evening took place in the more intimate setting of the Sport Point store, where approximately 25 mountain enthusiasts gathered.
The evening's guest, Luka Stražar, presented challenging winter mountaineering climbs and brought the reality of climbing in cold, unpredictable conditions closer. He placed special emphasis on preparing for a tour, choosing equipment, and decisions that often determine safety in the mountains.
The event was further enhanced by a prize draw, in which one of the visitors received a Karpos sweater. After the official part, there was a socializing and conversation with the guest, which enabled visitors to have even more personal contact.
Karpos evenings as an annual tradition
Karpos evenings have become a permanent part of our annual activity and an important element of connecting the mountain community. In previous years, we have also organized events in partner stores Annapurna, Koala, Bokal and Elan.
Renowned alpinists and climbers Bine Žalohar, Nejc Marčič and Mitja Šorn have also shared their stories on previous evenings. Each event is different, as a different Karpos ambassador always appears with a new topic, ranging from sport climbing and alpinism to ski touring and exploring remote mountain areas.
The diversity of content and personal experiences gives the events a special value. In addition to the professional part of the evening, there is always a small reception and time for relaxed conversation, creating a genuine environment for the exchange of opinions, advice, and new ideas.
